I feel sorry for people who are losing their jobs. I was in their shoes once. But not any more.
I always say this,
there is no better job security than to figuring out how to earn money on the
side even when you are employed.

It doesn't have to be a fancy venture financed
start-up either. Play on your own level. Since I went to being self-employed four years ago, I never had to
worry about losing my job or market fluctuations.
My business is a balloon art
entertainer. And we all can laugh about that. It is not a rocket science business and it is not a
million-dollar-a-year producer either.
It was financed with my own $100 to start. But
this micro-business pays for my food and shelter and provides a few extras.
Most importantly, it gives me confidence that current financial crisis will not affect me personally.
